Kick off the summer with the Taste of the Mountain Wine & Jazz Festival at Snowshoe Mountain Resort in Snowshoe WV! This fun annual event, now in its 16th year, takes place on May 22 and 23, 2015, and features a weekend full of wine tasting, local artisans and craftsmen, and great live entertainment. Here is everything that you need to know about the event:
Wine & Jazz Location
The 16th annual Taste of the Mountain Wine & Jazz Festival takes place at Snowshoe Mountain Resort, which is situated among the beautiful Allegheny Mountains in West Virginia. Snowshoe WV is less than a 4 hour drive from several major cities, including Morgantown, West Virginia, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Wine & Jazz Entry Costs
Entry costs vary depending upon whether guests wish to attend a portion of the event or the entire event.
Champagne and Dessert Reception
The Champagne and Dessert Reception kicks the event off on Friday night, May 22nd, with live entertainment provided by the Mike Davison Trio from 7 PM to 8:30 PM. Tickets for the reception are $20 on the day of the event, and the reception will be held inside of a tent pavilion set up outside of the Expedition Station Complex on the north end of Snowshoe Village.
Wine and Jazz Grand Tasting
The Wine and Jazz Grand Tasting, the main part of the weekend’s event, takes place on Saturday, May 23rd, from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM in the Village Plaza. The Grand Tasting includes wine and culinary tasting and a souvenir wine glass. In addition, live entertainment will be provided by Project Natale from 3 PM to 5 PM, and by Mike Davison and the Latin Messengers from 5:15 PM to 7:30 PM. Tickets for this portion of the event are available in advance until May 22nd for $59, or for $69 on the day of the event. Registration for the Grand Tasting is available from 2 PM to 6 PM, and event tickets are only valid for those individuals who are 21 or older.
Grand Tasting Package
The Grand Tasting Package includes the Champagne Dessert and Reception, as well as the Wine and Jazz Grand Tasting. Tickets for the Grand Tasting Package are available in advance until May 22nd for $59, or for $69 on the day of the event.
