Homegrown Music Festival Returns to Snowshoe WV

Homegrown Music FestivalThe Homegrown Music Festival will take place in Snowshoe WV on Friday March 3 thru Sunday March 5, 2017. Every year, the annual festival gets more fun and exciting! The event features local music celebrating the rich heritage and sound of Appalachia. Shane Meade and the Sound, Long Point Bluegrass, the Shawn Owen Band and others will perform. The music heard will contain feel good jams, old time acoustics and relaxed reggae tunes. They are sure to have everyone tapping their feet and dancing all night long!

The Homegrown Music Festival would not be complete without the various one of a kind competitions. One of the most popular being the Cardboard Box Sled Competition. This multi-day event begins on Friday night at the Connection Nightclub. The cardboard box sleds get inspected on Saturday morning, and then the race begins! There is also Pepperoni Roll Eating Competition as well as Bobb’in for Pigs Feet. There will also be sporting events such as a Corn Hole Tournament. To wrap up the contests, there will be a Toilet Seat Horseshoe Competition.

Homegrown Music FestivalThe weekend of fun and games caps off with the Awards Ceremony and the Homegrown Happy Hour Games. The ceremony will take place back at the Connection Nightclub. Once the ceremony ends, more great music will follow. The annual Homegrown Music Festival in Snowshoe WV is a treat for anyone who loves local music. Plus the unique games are fun too!
