What You Need to Know About WVU Mountaineer Family Camp
Snowshoe West Virginia will be the site of two different WVU Mountaineer Family Camps, both of which offer seven action-packed days of family fun and adventure. The first camp is held from July 2 – 9, while the second session runs from August 6 – 13. Both camps are all-inclusive and limited to a total of 80 families.
Alumni and their families will be staying in Center Village, right in the heart of the mountaintop resort and surrounded by numerous opportunities for shopping, dining, drinking and dancing. Families are free to design each day however they please, choosing from a huge number of available activities.
Start the day off with a delicious, hearty breakfast buffet before heading off to enjoy some of the area’s spectacular hiking or mountain biking trails. From there, ride the chairlift down to picturesque Shavers Lake, where you’ll disembark on a beach full of fun activities and games to test your skills. At night, the lakeside bonfire makes an ideal spot to roast a few s’mores before heading back to watch the nighttime movie under the stars.
Family yoga classes, children’s GeoCache treasure hunts, adult RZR trail riding and a family golf tournament are just a few of the many other highlights. You and the kids can test yourself on the climbing wall or Eurobungie or brush up on your cooking skills during the Mountaineer Chef Class and Family Cook Off.
All these activities are sure to make you hungry, but luckily you’ll be served three fabulous, filling meals a day. The kids are sure to love the lunchtime sundae bar, while everyone will fall in the love with the world-class BBQ ribs served at dinner. As an added bonus, you and your spouse can take advantage of the resort’s babysitter service to enjoy a romantic cuddle under the stars.
A World of Excitement Awaits at WVU Mountaineer Adventure Camp
