In fact, kicking the weekend of performances off on Friday night will be West Virginia’s own The Boatmen band. This band started out small but is now gaining grounds to national recognition. And they’ll pave the way for performances by Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Yonder Mountain String Band, J Roddy Walston and the Business and Porch 40 among others. And during all these festivities all locals in the Snowshoe community will be thanked for their service through free passes to several of the area’s main attractions and fun activities such as a ziplining, chairlift rides and much more. The dates for this year’s festival are Aug. 1 and 2, 2014.
