SNOWSHOE, W. Va (November 15, 2023) OPERATIONAL UPDATE: Despite a strong initial effort by their snowmaking team at the beginning of the month, subsequent opportunities have been limited. Unfortunately, they did not foresee significant snowmaking windows leading up to our original target opening date of Nov. 22. Colder weather is expected in the coming week, and their dedicated snowmaking team will persist in their efforts whenever possible. Snowshoe is committed to opening as soon as conditions allow, with a new tentative date set for Saturday, Dec. 2 (weather permitting). It’s important to note that some of Snowshoe’s most memorable seasons have experienced slow starts, particularly during El Nino years. Your patience will be rewarded, and the wait will be worthwhile! In the meantime, stay excited and keep an eye out for further updates!
