We accept all major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and AmEx.
Security deposits are not required, but guests will be held responsible for any damages or excessive cleaning charges. Your credit card is kept on file for damages.
We will offer a full refund if your cancellation notice is made at least 14 days prior to your arrival day. A 50% refund is offered for cancellations made with at least 7 days’ notice prior to arrival day. Cancellations made with less than 7 days’ notice are not eligible for any refunds.
Yes, we strongly encourage our guests to purchase trip insurance. We send out information to all of our guests on how to purchase insurance prior to your stay. If you feel nervous about an illness, job loss, injury or any other covered event, purchasing insurance is your best bet. While we understand that situations do happen, we cannot make any exceptions to our cancellation policy, especially when we offer very affordable trip insurance. Check-In & Check-Out
For Mountain Lodge, check-in begins at 5:00 PM and continues until all rooms are ready. In most cases, rooms are ready by 5:00 PM at the latest, however, delays may occur during peak holidays and weekends. Check out at Mountain Lodge is no later than 11:00 AM. Early check ins and outs during ski season are highly unlikely. Please plan accordingly.
If you are staying in a non-Mountain Lodge property, our check-in and out times can vary. Most have 4:00 PM check-ins and 11:00 AM check-outs. A few of our properties have 5:00 PM check-ins and 10:00 AM check-outs. Please refer to your digital guidebook links for the best information about your stay.
We will provide detailed information via a digital guidebook link which will explain the process for accessing the condo. The guidebook link is sent 4 – 5 days ahead of your arrival day.
Arriving late is fine, please refer to the check-in details included in your digital guide.
During ski season, early check ins and outs are difficult to guarantee. Please plan ahead if we are unable to accommodate.
During Your Stay
Yes, all condos include free Wi-Fi. Just remember that Snowshoe is in a very rural area. WiFi speeds can be slower than what you are used to at home.
Yes, fresh linens and towels are included.
Kitchens include cookware, dishes, utensils, coffee maker, and basic appliances.
Starter toiletries (soap, shampoo, toilet paper) are provided. Bring extras for longer stays.
Your best bet is to bring groceries with you from home. If that is not an option, here are a few grocery store options along the way that may work for you:
Coming from the South through Marlinton, WV on route 219, you will pass by an IGA. (about 45 minutes from Snowshoe)
Coming from the North through Elkins, WV, you can choose from Kroger or Wal-Mart. (about an hour from Snowshoe)
Coming from Washington DC/Baltimore area, there is a Shop n’ Save Express in Petersburg, WV. (about an hour and 50 minutes from Snowshoe)
