Perfect for 2! by Katrina (AirBnB) 10/06/2016
The condo was perfect for the two of us when we came down to watch our son in the Collegiate Mountain Bike Nationals in October. Though the Lodge building itself is a little dated, Chris's condo was clean, attractive, in good repair, had everything we needed, and was superbly located; the races were starting within sight (!), and we could easily walk everywhere in the attractive resort. The only downside was a difficult arrival in the middle of the night; the instructions we had were inadequate. I suggest contacting the Lodge ahead if you plan to do this. Other notes: Verizon Cellular does not work, but there is Wifi (ask for it at the front desk). Daily maid service was a plus, as were the washing machines in a room down the hall.
Summer Fun! by Linda (AirBnB) 05/20/2016
The condo was very nice and convenient to the village and shops. We were there in May, so no snow, but had a great time watching the trail bikers race down the slopes and then the bikes (and riders) coming back up on the chair lift. Very convenient to other sights, such as the Cass Scenic railroad just down the road. Condo was well equipped, quiet, and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking down on the lake.
Great Communication! by Peter (AirBnB) 03/18/2016
We had a great experience staying in one of Chris & Alison's properties (ML238). Chris was easy to get in touch with, and was able to answer any questions I had before the stay. The condo itself was just as described, having every amenity one might need for a weekend on the mountain. Parking, check-in and check-out were all quick and painless. I would definitely stay in any of their properties if the opportunity presents itself again.
Perfect location and exactly as described! by Tracy (AirBnB) 03/03/2016
Perfect location and exactly as described! Kids had a great time skiing and this condo made the trip affordable. We're already planning our next trip!
Slopeside!! by Lena Beth (AirBnB) 03/03/2016
We LOVED being right by the slopes. My husband could watch for me to come up the lift, and then we could meet at the door. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, bowls, & other supplies. Everything was very clean. We ate in a few of the restaurants, and they were close by. We rode the shuttle once, and that was easy. I loved the skiing. I needed the trail map, and used it a lot. The building was quiet, but there were not many people staying there, on Easter weekend, which was the last weekend of skiing. I would rent a ski locker next time, and not have to carry my equipment/boots to the room. The room had racks to hang the equipment on, and that worked well. We really enjoyed our weekend!
This was my first time using AirBnB and it was a pleasant experience. by Rachel (AirBnB) 06/12/2015
This was my first time using AirBnB and it was a pleasant experience. The listing was just what I was expecting; only the condo was a little bit that what it seemed in the photos, which is obviously a plus! Pleasantly surprised to find a super clean and well stocked kitchen. I was there for a yoga festival and there was plenty of hooks to hang out yoga mats and towels in the entry way. We were only in the room to eat dinner and then again to sleep, but I would definitely book this condo again if I ever go back to Snowshoe.
The condo was exactly as described: tremendously easy access to the slopes, extremely friendly staff and trouble-free checkin. by Mark (AirBnB) 03/05/2015
The condo was exactly as described: tremendously easy access to the slopes, extremely friendly staff and trouble-free checkin. This unit was very well stocked with everything you needed. I especially appreciated all the hardwood finishes and attention to detail. Carpeting appeared brand new; furniture and beds we comfortable. Highly recommended for a hassle-free stay.
Chris provides good faq's and info when you book, and again when your trip is getting closer... by Brian&Pam (AirBnB) 01/19/2015
Chris provides good faq's and info when you book, and again when your trip is getting closer... builds the anticipation! Our family had a great view of Ballhooter lift from the condo... and if you take a cup of coffee to the end of Mountain Lodge, you can lounge at one of the hi-top tables and see down upper Ballhooter with a beautiful view of the Basin. Did I mention Snowshoe is an excellent place to spend a long weekend? Ditch your phone and relax for a while. Thanks for hosting us, Chris!
The place was great and perfectly fitted our needs! by Dennis (AirBnB) 01/13/2015
The place was great and perfectly fitted our needs! Check-in was a breeze as it's managed by the resort...so no awkward key exchanges need to be arranged for this AirBnB site. As shown, the condo is right off the main lift at Snowshoe, so you're right in the heart of the action. You can also walk to the main rental place very easily. Not related to Chris or the place, but I found the maps the resort provided to be very misleading as it showed a place that was a half hour walk as equidistant from a place that was a 5 minute stroll away. So we ended up driving to get our rentals when that was unnecessary.
The condo was much bigger than it appears in the pictures. by Matthew (AirBnB) 01/07/2015
The condo was much bigger than it appears in the pictures. Check in was easy and smooth. The location was a perfect place if you are looking for a very accessible ski in ski out. Will definitely be returning.
We arrived at the Mountain Lodge a little later than expected but we were pleasantly greeted and provided with the keys and instructions. by Dale (AirBnB) 10/11/2014
We arrived at the Mountain Lodge a little later than expected but we were pleasantly greeted and provided with the keys and instructions. The room like the Mountain Lodge is a little dated but clean, well equipped, and met our needs perfectly.
The weather did not cooperate but we didn't let that stop us from having a great time. You were right about no Verizon service but wifi worked fine.
The only ATM was not available however everyone took credit cards. If you plan to use the kitchen, bring everything with you. Finding a grocery store is a challenge. Well will be back. Thanks Chris
Listing was as described, and the location was fantastic for the price. by Beth 09/26/2014
Listing was as described, and the location was fantastic for the price. Condo was cozy, but there was plenty of room for two people. Four would be fine if you all really like each other. πŸ™‚ The building it is located in is obviously a little older, but everything was well-maintained and the staff upon check-in were great. It is just steps from Snowshoe Village, and there is a fantastic view from the balcony. Just a heads up for planning purposes--check in at this property is at 5pm.
We visited Snowshoe for the annual Chili Cook off and had a blast! by Jeff & Leslie 08/19/2014
We visited Snowshoe for the annual Chili Cook off and had a blast! This condo was exactly as advertised, and could not have been in a better location! The staff was super friendly and made our stay wonderful. Would definitely stay again!
